About Us
The Moving Company at IUI is a non-profit dance organization that was first formed in 1983 by then student, Margot Faught. It has continued its growth under the direction of Mary Maitland Kimball and entered the new millennium with Paige Prill Craigie.
The company gives students an outlet to express themselves by performing while also fulfilling part of the credits needed for the IUI dance minor. This student organization is currently funded primarily by private donations and fundraising by the members.
The Moving Company hopes to expand awareness and education of the arts throughout IUI and the Indianapolis area. The company is open to all styles of dance including jazz, modern, ballet, lyrical and tap.
Meet The Officer Team
Abbey Oneill
President
Abbey is a Senior at IU Indianapolis studying Exercise Science as a major while also pursuing a minor in Dance. Originally from Northwest Indiana, she has danced all throughout her life primarily in ballet and modern and has continued to dance with The Moving Company for 6 semesters total! .She is excited to serve as the President for this year and hopes to help people find and continue their love for dance!
Ellie Streveler
President Elect
Ellie is a sophomore at IU Indianapolis who is majoring in Medical Imaging with a minor in Health Administration. She is from Greenfield, Indiana a town about 30 minutes east of Indy and grew up performing in Greenfield Central’s: winter guard, Legacy show choir, and Madrigal honors choir. She has been in MoCo for two semesters and is so excited to not only continue dancing, but also to serve on the officer team!
Rylee Sharp
Secretary
Rylee Sharp is a senior at IU Indianapolis who is double majoring in Biology and Medical Humanities and Health Studies with a minor in Forensic and Investigative Science. She has been dancing for eighteen years and especially loves contemporary and lyrical dance. Rylee is from Fort Wayne, Indiana where she grew up dancing and eventually joined a competitive dance team. She is very happy that The Moving Company has given her the opportunity to continue dancing in college and she is very excited to be an officer this school year.
Jasmine Haro
Treasurer
Jasmine is a senior at IU Indianapolis graduating with a Biology degree and a minor in Spanish. She is from Northwest Indiana; graduated from Crown Point High school. This is her fourth year dancing with the Moving Company. Her dance experience began her freshman year of college, dancing with the moving company and has been so lucky to develop this passion for dance in her early adult life. She is grateful to be apart of the behind the scenes of a dance company and is excited for this upcoming 2026-2027 school year!
Stephanie Morin
Historian
Stephanie is a junior at Purdue in Indianapolis studying Biomedical Engineering with a certificate in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. This is her 5th semester with the Moving Company and first season as an officer! She has been dancing since she was five years old in her hometown Newton, Massachusetts. Her favorite styles are contemporary and jazz funk! She is so excited for the 2026-2027 season of MOCO and is so grateful to take on the role of historian!
Meet the Resident Choreographers
Claire Underwood
Monday Choreographer
Claire Underwood is a 23 year old dancer and choreographer from Noblesville, Indiana. She was a member of various show choirs throughout middle/high school and found contemporary dance through joining The Moving Company in 2021. Through this company, she found her passion for choreography and hasn’t looked back. Today, she is a member of Strive Dance Company, a resident choreographer for MOCO, and grateful to continue learning and growing as a dancer!
Tessa Griffin
Tuesday Choreographer
Tessa is a choreographer and semi-professional dancer based out of Indianapolis, IN. She grew up studying and performing dance in South Bend, IN before moving to Bloomington, IN to attend Indiana University. While at IU, Tessa danced with Inmotion Dance Company and was a member and Captain for the Crimsonettes Dance Team. After graduating in 2023 with her degree in Fashion Merchandising, Tessa moved to Indianapolis and continued to pursue her professional dance career with the Emerald Spirit Dance Team. She is excited for the opportunity to be apart of MOCO’s creative outreach in the community and looks forward to helping members pursue their passion of dance!
Lauren Murray
Thursday Choreographer
Lauren is from Richmond, IN! After she graduated high school she went to Indiana University in Bloomington where she was a member of the IU Crimsonettes, a student ran dance team. There she was able to be captain for two years and took them to their first ever nationals in Florida! After IU she moved to Indy and have been a member of the Emerald Spirit Dance Team in Lebanon, IN. She is also the competitive director for her studio back home. Lauren is really excited to be apart of MOCO and fill her time with more dancing!!
